The O'Brien Blue Child Life Vest is a great option for your child when you want to keep them safe and protected without sacrificing comfort. By using a technology called BioLite, the materials on the Child Life Jacket are environmentally friendly as well as comfortable. BioLite is lighter than neoprene making the jacket just a little bit more cozy for the young one as well as more resistant to mold and mildew for those times you toss it in the garage or keep it on the boat. There is a grab handle if you need to pull them into the boat and a Padded Leg Strap so they don't squirm out. The Wide Armholes are great for their mobility so your child doesn't feel constricted inside their Life Jacket.

Q: Is this a lot lighter than the "O'Neill Child USCG Vest Toddler Life Vest 2017?" I am considering buying this for my 2 year old. He is around 27-28 pounds. Do you think this would fit him ok? He can't stand bulky life jackets that ride up on him.

Know the answer? Answer this question
A: This vest and the O'Neill are going to be very similar weights as they are similar designs. Being a neoprene vest you get a bit of a slimmer and more lightweight fit with either of these vests. Since these are for 30-50 lbs you may see some bulk at first but it will not take long for the little one to grow into the vest.
