My wife, daughter and I have all had these boots and all three pairs have fallen apart. We did get a fair amount of use out of them but way less than I would have expected. The soles come apart from the boot itself. I've tried repairing ...Read More

While using this boot for the first time I skied about a mile, slipped and fell, then saw my right ski and the sole of my boot head down the trail! The rest of the boot remained on my foot.

Q: Can I shave the toe tab down to fit a binding? Or do I need to find a boot for the smaller binding
Asked : Dec 17, 2016
By : ElizaA1, Minneapois, MN
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: I would not recommend shaving the toe tab down, you may compromise the ability for the boot to stay locked in the binding.

Q: What size should I order for a 13-year old girl who wears a size 6.5-7 in a ladies shoe?
Asked : Mar 07, 2015
By : TB, Richmond VA
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: These boots are sized in EU men's sizes. A size 39 is going to be a men's size 6 which will fit a women's size 7, and is the size I'd recommend for your daughter. This size will offer a slight amount of growing room but not so much that there will be too much excess room in the boot.

Q: I am looking to replace 25+ year old Alpina 75 mm ski "shoe". It has the number 38 on the bottom of the shoe, which I am assuming is the size; however, when looking at this Alpina Blazer, there is no 38 -- just a 37 and 39. Wondering if I should go up or down in size?

By : Diane, United States
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: I usually will recommend sizing up if you are between sizes, as you can always purchase a foot bed to help close any gaps or wear thicker socks as well

Q: Do these come with the holes already punched in the toe (where they hook into the bindings)? If not, where do you suggest I take them to punch the holes correctly?
Asked : Jan 02, 2014
By : unknown
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: These should already have the three hole pattern molded into the toe tab.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: No you will not need to upsize with these boots. Alpina boots are perfect for a C-D width foot.

Q: How do I know if these boots will work with his skis? Do I have to buy a special binding to go with these boots? He has the largest boot our shops sell and they hurt his feet bad to small... What ski do you recomend for a big man?
Asked : Dec 15, 2013
By : Jewls, Michigan
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: These boots are designed to fit a 3 pin, 75mm binding. If the bindings on his current skis look sort of like a metal horseshoe then these would fit correctly. If not, you would need to get 75mm bindings to use these boots. As for skis it would depend largely on his weight and what type of cross country skiing he was planning on doing. For more precise ski sizing information you can click on the size chart link on any cross country ski page.

Q: Why is the Alpina Blazer specified for "men"? The size is it different for a woman? I already wear these boots Alpina 75mm Cross coutry but made of leather(20 years ago), I'm a woman and it was OK for me. Those one are they different?
Asked : Jan 27, 2013
By : Isa du Vercors, Mont?limar, France
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The Alpina Blazer 75 can be used both by men and women. It is simply marketed and listed in mens sizes, so it is considered a "mens" product for the sake of sorting and selling on out site.
