The Viva Phoenix Max 8 is a wonderful blend of performance and comfort for beginner to intermediate skiers with average to slightly wide feet. With a 102mm forefoot the Viva Phoenix Max 8 walks a fine line between a wider fit and a performance feel thanks to Tecnica's 3 Density technology. By placing softer shell material close to the foot a mid-wide and comfortable fit is achieved and surrounded by firmer material that offers the support and drive of the boot, so you get performance and relaxed fit. With the Viva Phoenix Max 8 the shell is a nice middle of the road 80 flex so it will transfer energy quite well but is also rather forgiving making it a good boot to learn and progress with. Inside the Viva Phoenix Max 8 is a Viva ComfortFit Liner with the Viva Velvet Fur lining to add the most warmth and comfort possible to the boot. The liner is also outfitted with Viva Calf Adapter construction and a Flared, Scalloped upper allowing the liner to automatically adjust to your leg and calf shape for better circulation leading to more comfortable and warmer feet. By using the 3.5 Buckle Closure the Viva Phoenix takes even more pressure away from the shin through the use of an oversized powerstrap and cuff buckle which has a walk setting if you open the lever and set it to the inner most position on the cuff catch. For the final touches all three buckles are microadjustable and the Viva Phoenix Max 8 has cuff alignment so you can perfect your fit. If you want a boot that is both comfortable and will help take you forward in your skiing hop in the Viva Phoenix Max 8 and press on.
