As the consummate professional Seth Morrison has tweaked his skiing style over the last few years, his ski had to evolve with him. The new K2 SideSeth Skis are still geared toward soft snow performance but has a more alpinist feel to it making it ski better on firmer snow and variable conditions. A stiffer less rockered kick tail improves the SideSeths ability to ski in narrow, concave couloirs like the ones Seth has been skiing in Chamonix the last few seasons. A generous amount of powder rocker in the tip and a 118mm waist make the SideSeth unsinkable in powder while a progressive sidecut make it easier to ski a variety of turn shapes in variable snow. A fir/aspen/maple wood core gives the SideSeth the stiffness and power to roll over anything in its path. Removable Tip and Tail Hardware make it super easy for you to strap on and off K2s pre-cut climbing skins for faster ascents and descents. If you have been looking for a big mountain/all mountain ski to rappel in to a nasty couloir with, try the new K2 SideSeth, if it works for him it will work for you.

This is a really fun ski. It charges hard and yet feels like you are floating soft on any softer groom runs and the powder. This really is your powder specific ski that you pull out after getting 6 or more inches of fresh over night. After the Freshies have been skied out then this will still charge through the crud like a champ and extend your powder days until your legs give out. The firmer tail keep you from having to lean back and despite the 25m radius cut, it turns suprisingly well in the tight chutes and the steeps with the deep powder rocker. But leave it at home if is hard pack, icey or there hasn't been any snow for days because this is not that type of ski. I ski Aftershocks at 174 and the SideSeths at 181.
