The New Black Diamond Verdict is a perfect ski for someone who wants to do some touring, and have a bomber tough ski for resort skiing as well. The 102mm waist is wide enough to float though powder, and tough enough to power though variable snow conditions. The Formula One Technology has three major ribs for harder snow performance. The 250mm of semi rocker is rocker in the tip of the ski with camber underfoot. Tip rocker will help this ski plane to the top of the fresh stuff, and defect the negative energy caused by variable snow. The Verdicts new 3D Metal Sandwich Construction adds some weight (and toughness) uses a classic sandwich, and ABS tapered sidewall design with a 3D CNC paulownia wood core, and two sheets of titanal, for power and crud busting ability. The new Verdict will be a great ski for the backcountry, and tough enough for resort skiing when the conditions are firm and crunchy.
